In line with the research priorities of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and with the aim of improving the quality of research in the field of treatment, care, recognition and prevention of risk factors and improving the quality of life of cancer patients, Hematology and Oncology Research Center of the University of Medical Sciences since mid-2000. The research team has been operating since 8/18/2006 as an approved research center.

Due to the importance of basic science research along with clinical science, another primary goal of the center is to attract professors and researchers from all clinical and basic groups with the aim of designing and implementing joint research projects based on molecular, cytogenetic and immunological diagnostic facilities. is. On the other hand, applied and intervention research with the aim of promoting and improving treatment and care protocols for cancer patients is another research priority of the center.
